Who We Are

GUIDE-IT is building a global sharing infrastructure for randomised control medical imaging trials. Most randomised imaging trials produce image and clinical data that is rich, expensive to collect, and effectively locked away once the trial concludes. There is no shared infrastructure that lets the original trial investigators retain control while making the data discoverable, accessible under appropriate agreements, and reusable for secondary analysis. GUIDE-IT will close this global gap.

The project is led by Prof. Marc Dewey (University of Cambridge) with support from Prof. Dagmar Krefting (University of Goettingen) and Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen.

The project was previously funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG project: 495697118) as a joint-collaboration project between Charité -Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Universität Göttingen, and Freie Universität Berlin.
